WHAT

This 5-week master class uses TUTA’s unique physical approach to acting by exploring the power of your own body on stage in relationship to space, script, and fellow actors.  This special edition master class will focus on classical text scene work such as Ibsen and Chekhov.
Using both improvisational exercises and assigned scenes, you will learn tools to enhance your timing, rhythm, responsiveness, and ability to trust your gut. Each student will have the opportunity to work in both groups and solo, with scripts and without. Scenes will be assigned with an open presentation during the final class.

This class is open to performers of any skill level. It’s a great introductory class for beginners, or a refresher course for any advanced actors that want to regain spontaneity in their acting. No audition needed.

TUTA is partially supported by Arts Work Fund for Organizational Development, The Light A City Fund, The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, City Arts I and the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and The Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
